Weight gain does not happen overnight nor is it just an accident. Weight loss usually is temporary because you have not addressed the underlying cause of weight issues. The cause being how you feel about you.

Either you want to punish yourself or protect yourself. Sounds odd? Read on …
When you punish yourself you carry guilt feelings of the past with you within your fat cells. Once you cure yourself, you will rid those feelings and emotions and possibly affect your fat cells. What is the cure? Self forgiveness. This leads may lead to safe and permanent weight loss once your emotions normalize.

Remember to forgive does not imply forget, it just means you accept responsibility and move on with your life in a positive way with a lesson. The past is over and cannot be changed but you can change how you feel about it.

To protect yourself is another emotion that can cause weight gain. The hurt and pain you feel is the protective barrier between you and everything else. Your suit of armor, your shield. Yet it doesn’t work and because you carry all that hurt around with you need to start forgiving those that caused it. You may realize that you have suffered way too long and way too much already. And often those hurtful people have been gone from your life for years, so you no longer need to be protected from them. Keep working on forgiveness as it may not come easy and may be hard to completely allow it to happen.

• Forgiveness does not mean that you let anyone off the hook; it means that your present happiness is more important to you than your past suffering.
• Forgiveness does not mean that you condone the hurtful things done to you; it means that you reclaim your right to run your own life.
• Forgiveness heals the guilt and the hurt.

Take back your power and stop letting the past hurt you. So let the suffering stop right now. Forgive them and Forgive yourself today, at this very moment.
