By Jesse Velázquez

Hi! My name is Jesse and this is why following the Get Ripped! program, and keeping a healthy diet helped change my life! Throughout my teenage years I was always skinny. After getting married and having my daughter, I started gaining weight!

I spent three years weighing 161 pounds, confronting my weight gain with the wrong diets plans, without any exercise. I became depressed and was uncomfortable with my appearance. I saw that help and motivation came from someone close to me, who showed me that I could change once and for all.

In June of 2008, I decided to change my life. Not only did I want to fit in my old jeans, but I wanted a healthier lifestyle. My aunt had the same struggles and achieved her weight loss goals. She gave me the tools to start my own path. It was up to me to follow in her steps. With a balanced diet that included 5 to 6 meals a day, small portions, whey protein, lots of water and an exercise routine, I beat the bulge! I tried different kinds of cardio routines that included jogging, kickboxing and calisthenics.

How did I melt the fat away and gain muscle?? With the Get Ripped! workout!! There’s nothing better than to train your muscles to speed up your metabolism!! And with the Get Ripped! workout, you do just that. I started with the first DVD of Get Ripped! and moved up from there. My body has gone through many changes, just by using a balance diet, cardio, and weight training. In five months I lost 29 pounds by using this method and I haven’t looked back since. It’s the healthy lifestyle I’ve always wanted and the one I wish for everyone else. All you need is CONTROL and MOTIVATION. With these tools you can achieve your weight loss goals. It’s been a year and a half since I started this path, giving new meaning to my life. Most importantly, it inspired me to start a career out of it. I’m planning to start my studies in nutrition and fitness so that one day, I’ll be able to help others just like the trainers who helped me achieve my success. For people who want to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight, avoid the easy ways of commercial diets that never work. Try to be old fashioned, do something that makes you SWEAT, and EAT right! Don’t starve or deprive yourself of food. Simply make the healthy choice. Don’t be scared of weight training. It will do wonders for you. Challenge yourself and let everyone else know how it worked for you!

Thank you for sharing!! Hopefully I'll be where you are soon!! I started doing ripped two months ago.... it's the only workout tapes I'vebeen able to stay with for so long!
