How many calories do you burn?

Hi ladies,   I would like to ask those of you who have a HR monitor how many calories you burn doing Jari's workout.  I know nobody can actually burn 1000 calories, but I can't seem to burn anywhere…

Hi Renee, So sorry to hear you've been struggling. I can think of two situations. One situation is that you are not simply eating enough during the clean eating phase. Do you have any idea how many calories you eat in a day when you eat clean? If y…

You can also gain a few pounds during the period or if you are constipated. The weight also fluctuates throughout the day unless you weigh yourself first thing in the morning after using the bathroom. I wouldn't worry about it.

Renee, I would love to stay in Costa Rica for a month. That is a paradise destination for raw vegans like me because they have tons of cheap fresh fruits and I would enjoy trying all kinds of exotic fruits everyday! I would actually feel that I can…

Renee, You don't have to execute everything perfectly everyday. I always overeat all kinds of foods at social gatherings that I don't normally eat, but I tell myself it's okay. We all want to have fun once in a while. It's only two weeks out of a y…

I don't use a HR monitor although I'd like to get one and probably should. So I don't know how many calories I burn. However, my resting HR is very low too....like 45. But I can get it up to 165-170. I was sent to numerous dr and specialists this pa…

I've heard very good things about insanity- and I am sure it will definitely get you into your target heart rate zone!

I've been wanting to try it too! Good Luck I hear its insane!! Let us know how it goes.

Thank you all who responded to my question. I realized that I was simply not exercising within my target heart rate zone. My target HR zone is between 130 bpm (65% of max HR) and 155 bpm (85% of max HR) and I wasn't staying in this range most of the…

I know from experience that you are on any medication especially anti anxiety or blood pressure medication particulary it will give you a lower heart rate reading especially when you're working out. I was on a blood pressure tablet for my migraines…

Hi Chikako, It sounds like you're an experienced fitness enthusiast! I hope that the heart rate monitor is actually giving you wrong numbers as I would have to agree that that calorie count when you're putting in so much commitment. Take care, Ze…

Thank you, Zerlina, for the encouragement. You are right. Maybe I need to make some changes. I'm going to keep doing Jari's workout on resistance training days, but for cardio days, I will try something else and see what happens. As you mentioned, w…

I burn anywhere from 550 to 650 in a 1 hour Ripped Class. I tend to burn more in the Ripped 1000 classes and a bit less in Slim/Lean, Core, etc. I used 8-12 lb dumbells and 2 risers on the step. I burn 600+ in a 1 hour spin class. Your calorie numb…

Hi Chikako, Just wondering, how long has it been since you read your HR to be 62 bpm. If you were able to bring it down that far then that's really hard work! I used to run at 76 bpm and it took me 1.5 years to bring it down to 58 bpm, but that was…

I'm pretty sure my monitor is working fine because it reads my HR correctly, but I don't know if gives inaccurate calorie readings when the resting HR is very low. My resting HR used to be around 62 but it has come down due to aerobic trainings over…

That doesn't seem right to me either. Your resting heart right is extremely low! That is a good thing, of course. Maybe the monitor isn't accurate because your heart rate is so low?
