I want to start incorporating kettlebells into my workouts. I work out 6 days a week at an advanced level. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good DVD and which weight kettlebell to purchase?

Hi Ronni,

A good person to try would be a lady called Lauren Brooks, " The Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Kettlebells" DVD. (See her website: www.ontheedgefitness.com) I have only just received my copy today, and she was recommended by quite a few more experienced Kettlebell users. Another DVD that was suggested was the (Art Of Strength - Kettlebell Way Volumn 1). It is good for beginners and also gives good instructions on all the moves. It is also recommended to see a qualified Kettlebell Instructor to ensure correct form. The recommended weight of kettlebell for a woman starting out is a 8kg.

Hope this helps.

Annie.

I've been doing Lauren Brooks for a couple weeks now and it is awesome!! I love it! I can't wait till I can get the second volume. I already feel like I need to get a heavier kettlebell too. I started with the 15lb. but I really need the 26lb. for most the exercises. You have to try this. I'm really seeing a huge improvement and it's only been 2 weeks. I still incorporate my Jari videos as well but I've been fitting in the kettlebells every other day and I'm rather addicted at this point.

I would definitely second Aimee's views on Lauren Brooks, I have only been doing this DVD for just over a week and as Aimee mentions it is awesome. I am constantly having to pull my jeans up as I have toned up so much around my abdomen and back and my posture has improved as well and not to mention the definition on my shoulders. It is tough going but I am really enjoying and as Aimee mentions it is very addictive.
