I got the new workout yesterday and did the entire thing in one "sitting".

Here is my review.

First, let me say that I am a HUGE Ripped and Jari Love fan. I love the workouts, every single one of them.

The workout starts with a 5 minute warmup with Jari solo. It's all cardio, but I personally think that's a sufficient warmup for this workout. There are several new moves.

Then it moves on to the cardio portion of the workout. You can select to do the entire thing (Jari's "Hi/Lo" AND the dance portions), or just one or the other.

I love Jari's cardio section. It's super fast-paced and gets that heart rate up quick. The dance section leaves a lot to be desired. I have nothing against dance, and have a few dance workouts myself. However, these portions are not of the same calibre as Jari's workouts in general, and I found myself skipping them after awhile. In the future, I will just select "Hi/Lo" in the workout menu - which does proceed to the weights/ab section after the cardio.

My husband has always done Ripped workouts with me, but he isn't too excited about this one because it's all women on the Ripped team. But I bet since I'll skip the dance, he'll give it a try.

The weights section is fantastic. There is pulsing and isometric holds (reminiscent of Slim and Lean), but plenty of new moves to make it interesting.

The Ab section is my favorite. Lots of new moves that got my mid section BURNING before it was even halfway over.

So all in all, a great workout and a definite must for Ripped fans and those of us trying to lose those last few pounds.

One thing I forgot to add... The chest presses are done on a mat, but I prefer to use my Step as a bench because I don't get a wide enough range of motion using the mat on the floor.
Just an FYI.

Thanks for the review Sarah! I think I will have to get it now. :)

It's fun! I like it almost as much as Extremely Ripped 1000. They're all great additions to your collection!

I totally agree that the weight and ab portion is fantastic! One of the best Jari has ever done and the length is perfect. I never do the dance portion - just not my thing at all. I mix a 30 minute step routine and then the 30 minute weight portion for a great workout. I have all of Jari's workouts and love them all. This one was worth the price just for the weights/ab portion alone.

I have been doing this DVD for about a month. I also find that I skip the dance portion just because I cant keep my heart rate up. But, I really like the DVD. Its not my favorite but I love that it has variety and I do love, love the strength portion. I also really like the Hi/Lo portion and particularly Jari's energy from the warm up through out the workout. Sometimes when I just want something low impact and fun I will include the dance portion. I do think that its fun and actually really nice dance moves.

I'm just wondering how long is the weights/abs portion of the DVD? I run for my cardio and am not interested at all in that portion, but your review of the weights part sounds so great I'm debating whether I should give it a try or not

I want to say 30 minutes...25 or 30. I like it because I can up my weights pretty heavy and it's a challenge. The moves are new too, so it's not the same.
I also run for cardio, and my husband doesn't like doing cardio with DVDs, so sometimes I just do the weight portion too.
The cardio portion is great for rainy days as I run outdoors only.

Thanks for the reply....I guess i should be more open minded about the cardio. I did step aerobics for years before I started running, and now running seems such an awesome challenge that's all I want to do. I agree that it's nice to lift heavier sometimes, I feel like that really helps define the muscles! I am loving her last 2 DVDs, though, finding them really tough which I just love
